FRIENDS OF CONNECTICUT EXPLORED

Become a Friend of Connecticut Explored

Friends of Connecticut Explored provide important support for the continued publication of the magazine.  We are a nonprofit magazine, a program of Hartford Public Library’s Hartford History Center.  Friends contribute $100 per year and receive a subscription and may take an $80 tax deduction.

Thank you! to the Friends who made donations between September 1 and November 30, 2009.  A portion of their gifts are matching a grant we received from the Connecticut Humanities Council.  Their gifts and the grant will make possible the Heritage Hot Spots page for the next four issues.  Heritage Hot Spots features small cultural heritage organizations that would not normally be able to advertise.  We provide complimentary design and consultation.  Small organizations appreciate the Heritage Hot Spots because of the statewide exposure they offer.

Friends gifts are always welcome!  Your gift will also support our ongoing initiative to develp lesson plans for the high school history curriculum based on our trove of stories.  Your support also helps underwrite our half-priced subscriptions for teachers.  Connecticut Explored’s lesson plans are a great way introduce young people to a love of Connecticut history!

Please send a check in the amount of your donation to Friends of Connecticut Explored, P O Box 271561, West Hartford, CT  06127-1561.
