An ASCH Conference: “Studies in Connecticut Biography”

This November 6th, participate in “Studies in Connecticut Biography”, an Association for the Study of Connecticut History (ASCH) conference that will be held at University of Connecticut, Torrington. Starting at 7:45 a.m. with registration and refreshments, this all-day event will include the presentation of the Babbidge and Linsley Awards as well as concurrent sessions held in the morning and afternoon, with a break at midday for a buffet luncheon.

Researchers will discuss biographical topics extending from the 17th to the 20th centuries. These presentations will be chaired by recognized historians, university professors, and other experts on Connecticut history, will focus on a range of topics, including but not limited to: the military, race, gender, leadership, politicians, sports, and the land itself.

Don’t miss this chance to broaden your knowledge of the state’s past. Individuals planning to attend the conference should complete the registration form and return it to the registrar by Friday, October 29 to ensure admission to the luncheon. Don’t miss your chance! Registrations will be accepted after October 29th and at the door on November 6th, but space cannot be guaranteed for the reception or lunch.
